Shayne Peredo

Hello! I’m a language enthusiast, educator, and aspiring localization professional with a passion for connecting people through culture, communication, and storytelling.

My background combines language learning, teaching, and professional translation experience, giving me a unique perspective on how content can be adapted to resonate across cultures. As a Navy translator, I developed strong skills in cross-cultural communication, linguistic accuracy, and working effectively in fast-paced, detail-oriented environments where precision matters.

I’m passionate about making communication accessible and meaningful across languages and communities. Whether I’m developing engaging lessons, studying new languages, or exploring how media and technology shape communication, I enjoy creating experiences that connect people across cultural boundaries.

I’m especially interested in localization because it brings together language, technology, and global storytelling. I enjoy analyzing how language, culture, and user experience intersect to create content that feels authentic and natural for different audiences—not simply translated.

Outside of my professional interests, I enjoy running, playing the piano, and learning new languages—interests that continue to strengthen my curiosity, discipline, and appreciation for different perspectives and cultures. I’m always looking for opportunities to learn, collaborate, and grow as I build a career helping ideas travel across languages and cultures.
